We're back with Hitchcock the cat to show off another one of our historically inaccurate pet costumes. This year we're taking to the seas and have one based on the pirates from days past. This costume consists of a simple bandana and a pirate style hat. On the pirate hat is a cute parrot peeking out that you can have fun in giving a personality of its own or embellish the hat as much or as little you want. With the bandana, I use a cotton fat quarter, but most of the hat consists of craft felt. Because of that, the materials involved are very economical. Plus, our pattern is free to download. Watch our tutorial to be taken through the costume construction step-by-step and your furry friend will look as cute as Hitchcock.
