Okay so, sorry if this is a dumb question. I am a total newbie to sewing.

I didn’t realize you had to obtain a certain width of fabric. Well, I found a fabric I absolutely love that I wanted to do with my pattern (McCall M6754) which calls for 60″ fabric, but the fabric is only 45″ wide. How do I get around this? I really want my dress to be this fabric!

Well, luckily there are not a lot of pattern pieces to this dress. If I were you, I’d cut out your pieces and take them with you when you go to the fabric store. That way you can lay them out on the fabric at the cutting table and get exactly what you need without guesswork. You can probably get an employee there to help you as well. Just make sure you’re choosing a fabric that’s a two way stretch lace. If you purchase a lace that’s not stretchy, it’s not going to work because there are no fasteners. I’d love to see a picture when you finish! You can do it!
