It really doesn't get any easier than making this simple t-shirt dress pattern.  The best part is that half of the pattern drafting is already done for us.  In this tutorial, I show you how to convert our basic t-shirt / tank top bodice pattern into a t-shirt dress.  (We recommend that you do that tutorial before attempting this one.)  In a few simple steps, you can have a classic tshirt dress pattern that's comfortable and versatile.  You can also add our other tshirt detail ideas like adding a yoke or sleeves.  For assembly, you would still follow the steps shown in our tank top assembly tutorial.  The steps are exactly the same, the pattern is just a little longer.
