Tote bags always make me think of summer. They're a great go-to bag when you're on the run and you just want to toss in a bunch of stuff for the day. This demonstration shows you how to make that classic tote bag. There's no pattern but I do give you the dimensions I used to make my bag which is a pretty standard size. While the style of this bag is simple, it's really easy to make it unique. You can add an applique like I did. (I had a crotchet applique and applied it in the same manner used in our tutorial lace applique.) You can also fabric paint on a design or just choose a really awesome print. The other nice thing about this design is the added outside pocket. This is great for those smaller items you don't want to have to dig for. If you make one of these totes, please share a picture.
