When you think of knife pleats, do you think of cheerleading and tennis skirts?  I think this is everyone's first thought but the knife pleat is so much more.  Yes, you can use it for skirts, and it looks adorable, but knife pleats can be utilized for embellishing other aspects of garment sewing and for home decor.  You'll know a knife pleat, because it'll be a series of pleats that are all folded in the same direction.  They're easy to do and actually quite easy to add to any project.  I demonstrate not only how to create your pleats but also include tips on hemming.
