This holiday season, I've made a few ornaments for friends.  While it seems time consuming, it's actually fairly easy and there's so many cute fabrics out there to use.  If you're into hand embroidery, you can also make custom ornaments, using white fabric and some embroidery floss.  You'll be creating unique ornaments that your friends and family will not be able to buy in a store and they will treasure it as they decorate the tree each year.  Plus, this project is quite economical, if your budget is tight.  The most expensive part is buying the small embroidery hoop which costs a couple of dollars at the most.  You can also paint the embroidery hoop using regular craft paint for an extra touch.
