In the spring, a person's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of vacation. Or something like that. I know I'm ready for vacation, especially for a vacation where I have to utilize my passport. I first created this passport cover last year before I went on my cruise. I wanted to protect my passport instead of just throwing it around in my purse and I have a hard time buying things when I think it's something that I think I can make. So I designed this to make it look like a suitcase and I absolutely loved how my passport cover turned out. I was sure to show it off to the customs people at the port and I'm sure they thought I was crazy. I like to think that even if they thought I was crazy, they had to admit that the suitcase passport cover is absolutely adorable.
I love to be able to share this with all of you and see how creative you can get. It's definitely very easy to have your own take on the suitcase passport cover. Do you want to do a weathered suitcase with patches all over it. The designer suitcase, like I did, may also be the way to go. Or you can use pinstripe fabric and make the gentleman's suitcase. Or a diva one with rhinestones all over it. That's what makes this such a fun project, because there are so many ways to be creative with it.
If this project also puts you in the mind to travel, well...at least your passport is all ready to go.
I think I got both the stamp on etsy and the inkpad through amazon. You might be able to get the inkpad at a local art supply store. I think the best brand for stamping fabric is Versacraft. If you heat set your stamping, it will be washable.
Hi, where you buy the stamp and the ink ? is it for fabric ? can be wash ?
