Unfortunately, I don’t think you’ll be able to get around this. Obviously, if you sew it to the top of the sock, as is, the trim will not stretch, defeating the purpose of the elastic in the sock. If you stretch out the sock as you stitch on the trim, you’ll probably get a wavy, stretched out sock. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you’ll either have to try a stretchy trim or find something else to use this fun trim on 🙁
