I’m making the block quilt as my first quilting project. So far, it looks great! I opted for hand tying my squares instead of stitching in the ditch.

My question: When I stitch on the binding, do I use my walking foot?

I find that whenever I need to sew my quilt sandwich, the walking foot definitely helps, especially if it’s on the thicker side. If you don’t have a walking foot, you can also try to hand baste around the perimeter of the quilt to help hold things in place.

Will do, and thanks. My machine is new, and does have a walking foot, so I’ll go that route. I saved some scraps and will practice before starting on my quilt. I hope to finish it this weekend!
