Collar band

Hi, I am doing a rub off of a favourite shirt, and have found your videos tremendously helpful. However, my collar band comes to a sharp point, a mirror image of the collar. There is a lot of fabric to trim out and when I try it leaves a fuzzy edge. There must be another way?!

I attach photos trying to show one end untried, the other end trimmed and the original red shirt. Any suggestions welcome!

I don’t know quite what you mean by fuzzy edge. Are you referring to trimming the seam allowance between the collar band and neckline? You can leave the seam allowance a little longer if it helps keep it tucked into the band more. And sometimes it works itself out once you start hand sewing the area into place.
