Difference in notches on pattern

    I have a McCall’s pattern. It has both single and double notches–is there a difference in them or specific reason why they would use single and double in a pattern?

    Usually double notches are designated for back pieces, like back bodice, and single notches are for front pieces. Although, I don’t think this a hard, fast rule on this as I’ve seen double notches in other spots. It’s not anything to worry about. Just make sure you’re matching like notches. 🙂
