    How do I tell which way the grain of the fabric is running? I have mickey mouse pattern flannel material and want to make a pair of pajamas for my grandson. Have no clue which way to fold the material let alone pin the pattern to it. Thank you for your help.

    You should fold your fabric selvage to selvage. The selvage is the side of the fabric that seems like a finished straight edge, there’s usually small pinholes or it has the fabric information like the fabric brand name printed on it. All your patterns should have have grainline arrows printed on it and these grainline arrows should be placed so that they’re are parallel to the selvages of the fabric. Good luck!
