    I have to do an FBA for greater than 4″ on a top that has a side/bust dart. Can I do the sleeve increase/bodice increase using the pivot method? What happens to the bust dart? Do I extend the dart? If so, how much?

    Sorry, for the delay. I just got back from my Thanksgiving trip. Yup, you can do it but you might need to increase the sleeve a bit since you’re increasing the armcycle by 2″ on each side. If you watch our increase sleeve width you can see that it’s pretty easy to do. The bust dart will be lengthened by this increase. I would just extend the lines to the new side seam, but do a muslin so you can test the fit and make any adjustments as necessary.
