    A seamstress in NYC recently suggested hand-finishing zippers for a more elegant look.  She also said that while she used to exclusively use silk, she has long since moved to something called waxed silamide……….apparently used in the fur industry.  She says the stuff is wonderful for all hand-sewing.  Anyone have experience with this thread?
