    What suggestions do you have when hemming a tulle (3 layers no hem, just cut) ball gown wedding dress, with a train? I’ve cut tulle before and it slippery and moves like the dickens, which gives me much anxiety to attempt a hem/cut a tulle hem???????? :{

    Tulle is a tricky, tricky fabric. The one nice thing about it, is it doesn’t fray so if you cut it neat enough, you don’t really have to finish it. To cut it the hemline, it would probably be best to put it on the dressform, instead of laying it on a table and just measuring, and then marking the length before cutting it. Threads has a pretty good article on it here: http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/43955/how-to-hem-a-tulle-skirt/page/all
