    Hi Professor Pincushion,
I have a dilemma again. I am making my daughter’s formal gown using Burda 6777. It is a basic strapless bodice (princess seams) with empire waist, on which a box pleated skirt is then attached. I am having difficulties increasing the bust size as I don’t have a pivot point above the bodice. I tried all sorts of things but the toile just doesn’t look or sit right. Can you offer suggestions? I have mastered the pivot technique for normal bodices no problems. Thanks! 🙂 Kelly

Sorry for the delay in response. I’ve just gotten over a horrible cold and I’m still attempting to catch up on everything. Have you tried putting your strapless bodice pattern on top of a regular bodice pattern? I know it seems weird, but at least it will allow you to pivot normally and give you an idea on where to put an increase.
