    Hi,
I love this site and am so glad I found it. Your tutorials are fabulous! I am dusting off my sewing skills and am about to make a lovely, flowing, summer tunic (Simplicity 4556 C) out of some soft, crinkle cotton with eyelets in it. Because the fabric is sheer and has holes in it I want to line the entire bodice of the tunic, but I am overwhelmed by the info on the internet. I am hoping someone can tell me what would work best as a liner for this type of fabric in this type of application. Thank you in advance.

If it were me, I would do it as an underlining. You can find a tutorial here: https://www.professorpincushion.com/professorpincushion/underlining/ The underlining is attached to each piece before you start sewing the whole garment together so once it’s attached you just proceed as normal. I also did this technique for our Rocker Dress tutorial which was made from lace and I used a tricot lining for the underlining. You don’t have to use tricot but just something that’s also very light. Hope this helps. 🙂
