Multiple Knits

Someone wants me to combine a 2 way knit with a 4 way knit in the same garment (a peasant top). Is it possible for me to do this?

as long as the fit isn’t too tight I honestly think you’ll be fine. You can make a peasant top out of a woven fabric so if a fabric doesn’t stretch much it isn’t a deal breaker. I’m just curious on the 4 way stretch fabric and why it was chosen for this style of top. I think of peasant tops as being cottony and light and airy and when I think of 4 way stretch I think of something like spandex…which might not have the same drape that a typical peasant top has.

I am making peasant tops for big 9 year old. The mother told me the 4 way stretch might last longer since she is still growing. Thank you so much! This is comforting news!
