sorry for the delay in response. I must have missed this notification. 🙁 You shouldn’t have to alter your bobbin tension. I think of the bobbin tension as being neutral and you should only need to adjust the upper tension, if needed. You might need to make the upper thread tension a little higher than normal but this may vary from machine to machine. My machine doesn’t have a shirring foot so I just used a regular one, so I don’t know if using that particular foot makes things easier or not.
