Even though my sewing machine can do lots of fancy stitches that make the work go along a lot faster, sometimes i still prefer to do some jobs by hand. One of these jobs is hemming, especially when you want the stitches to be less noticeable. A common hand stitch is the blind stitch but, when it comes to working with knits, that stitch becomes the catch stitch. Not only is the catch stitch easy to do, but its stitch design allows for stretch, which is usually essential in your knit garments. Watch our demonstration to see how to create a catch stitch for your hemming needs.
