The cold shoulder sleeve is a flirty style that's been making it's mark on today's fashion. It's name comes from the fact that the top of the sleeve is missing, exposing the shoulder. It's a really cute style but if you've never sewn the cold should sleeve, it could be a different experience as it's a little different than the inset sleeve. There is no sleeve cap so you don't have to worry about easing it into an armhole but, because the top of the cold shoulder sleeve remains free, you do have to worry about finishing the raw edge. This is especially true if you're using a woven fabric, such as my example. In my case, I use single folded bias tape, which not only finishes raw edges, but it gives it a nice clean look inside the garment. After watching this demonstration, you'll have no problem sewing a cold shoulder sleeve yourself.
