If you need to hem something with a curve, you'll want to give this tutorial a watch. I will show you three different methods for hemming curves, because it's not as straightforward as hemming straight edges. The further out you get in a curve, the more fabric you're trying to fit in a smaller circumference. With traditional hemming techniques, you may end up with wrinkles or fabric creases. While these are not necessarily seen from the outside of the garment, they look unprofessional and you don't want people to guess your garment is homemade. In this video, I demonstrate the eased hem, the rolled hem, and the decorative ribbon hem. Each of these are easy to create so a tricky hem doesn't have to turn into a difficult hem. You're sure to find one method that works for you and your project.
