It's not surprising to learn that the hoodie's name comes from the fact that it has a hood. It's one of the aspects which make hoodie the comfort garment of choice. But how hard is it to actually sew? This tutorial shows you it's not very hard at all. My demonstration covers the hood part of the garment only but it's one of the more complex parts in sewing a hoodie. In my example, I use a lining and I make it a drawstring hood so it can be tightened around the head. Please realize this hood is going in a zippered hoodie so if your doing a pullover hoodie, the directions might be slightly different. Just take it one step at a time and your hood will be completed in a snap.
