I'm sure there are those who believe that the invention of the sewing machine removes any need to ever doing hand sewing again. It would make sense, right? But, surprisingly, there can be quite a few occasions where hand sewing comes in "handy" (pun intended). This tutorial gives a demonstration on my favorite hand stitches, especially helpful for garment sewing. These are the ones that will be used the most often and also easy to learn for beginners. Each stitch serves it's own purpose so it's important to be well-prepared. Stitches covered are running stitch, back stitch, slip stitch, blind hem, and catch stitch. Grab that hand needle and thread and learn along with us.
