This tutorial is part of a full bodice pattern making series where we show you how to draft your own full bodice.  We will utilize both the front and back bodice blocks so it is recommended that you complete those tutorials first.  In this video we focus on how to create your own facing pieces for the neckline and armhole sections.  What exactly are facing pieces?  They not only provide extra stability for those areas, but are a way to create a finished edge if you choose not to add a collar or sleeves.  Even if you decide not to put in sleeves in your bodice you cannot simply leave the raw edge unfinished. Adding the facing will give it a professional look and finish the corresponding raw edge.
