There's a new baby in town and you want to make them something special. How about making them a handmade baby onesie? How fun would it be to be able to choose your own fabric. Plus, this project is quick and easy. After you finish, you'll be inspired to make another, because a newborn can't have too many new onesies. Along with our step by step tutorial, we also provide you with a free pattern. Please note, the size of this pattern is newborn but you can always adjust it for other sizes as well. Also, be sure to use knit fabric as it's important to be stretchy and that you prewash your fabric before cutting out your fabric. For an extra professional looking detail, we show you how to add individual snaps. Are you ready to make a newborn baby onesie now? Let's do it!

I am new at sewing and was able to make two adorable polkadot onesies for my sister-in-law’s baby shower. Thank you for the easy to follow instructional video.
Where do you purchase your nifty snap tool from?
This is so perfect….found out my neice is going to have twin boys in August so will be busy making these for those twins ….Thank you
how can I change the size of the pattern? I would like to make size 6-9 months Onesie.. TIA
You can fold the current sleeve pattern in half. On the side of the folded straight edge, continue this line down for the length of sleeve desired. Take the wrist circumference measurement, divide in half and then draw a line this length at the bottom of your sleeve length (at 90 degrees angle). From the edge of the wrist line, blend a line up to the original side seam. hope this helps 🙂
Hi, I wanted to make a long sleeve version with legs. Would you have tips for modifying the pattern?
an A4 sheet seems to be 8.27 × 11.69. I think you should be fine. Just make sure to print without scaling. You will see if the printer obviously clips the pattern or not. When the patterns are created, they have a .5 inch margin so the usable space is 7.5″x10″. It should print fine.
Hey. First of all thank you for letting us have the pattern.
I’m frm Malaysia and we rarely use an 8.5″x 11″ paper. We commonly use an A4 sized paper. Can i substitute printing the pattern on an A4 instead? Will that affect the sizing later? Tq
This is a really great video tutorial! Love it, makes it so easy to understand. Would it be possible to make it a long sleeve onesie, just elongating the short sleeve and narrowing it a bit going down? How would you do it?
