The ruffler foot is a lot bigger than other presser feet and also has a lot more going on. Because of this, it can feel intimidating when you first take it out of the package to attempt to use it. Perhaps it can help create ruffles, pleats, and gathers, but is it worth going through the hassle of trying to figure it out? I'm here to tell you that yes, it's worth it! This handy foot can be a lifesaver if you have to create a lot of ruffles or gathers. Sure, you can do it by hand but this special presser foot makes it so much easier and will be done in a fraction of the time. It does feel complicating the first time using the ruffler foot, but once you understand what each part is for, then you realize it's actually not that bad. This video demonstration is here to hold your hand and show you which each part of the foot is for and how to use it in order to create different looks and effects. Just a note: I'm using a ruffler foot that is specific to my machine model. Yours may be a little different and you definitely want to pick something for your specific brand of machine. Even if the presser feet are not exactly the same, hopefully, you'll still find this helpful. My ruffler foot is Brother SA565
