If you love making garments, you probably have run into dresses with straps. You'll typically find this in bodices that are cut a little lower so they have no sleeves and thin tubes of fabric are used to hold the bodice up and in place. Straps that are very thin are also referred to as spaghetti straps. Unless the straps are adjustable, I usually find straps in ready-to-wear garments either too big so they constantly slip off my shoulder or too tight which can be uncomfortable. The nice thing about sewing your own straps, is you can adjust them and sew them in for the perfect fit. We show you exactly how it's done so you can complete this sewing task with ease.
