I love Simplicity pattern 2444 and the dress that results from it!  Fun, flirty with a cute collar and full skirt, I just want to wear to it to all the parties.  It's the perfect Betty holiday dress and the peacock blue color makes it sophisticated and festive.  I used a washable taffeta to create this dress and I think everyone should rediscover this fabric.  Taffeta not only glistens in the light but it has the perfect amount of body so it holds the shape of the dress really well and it's really easy to work with.

This dress has so many cute details from the cape collar to the big tie in the front.  It's really a nice modern dress but with a vintage flair.  I also made the matching headband.  I used the same pattern found in our video tutorial flower headband, I just left off the flower, keeping it simple.
