You’re instincts are correct! You can totally use this technique for side seam panels. 🙂
I love this type of technique, I have always wanted to try something like this but wasn’t sure how to go about it. You probably use the same technique for the side panels, however, since I’m somewhat new to the sewing world I would love to see a tutorial for side panels too.
