Vintage, classic styles always make a return and, for this fashion element, it's no wonder. The tie collar, also known as the pussy bow, is a lovely type of collar that's essentially long ties on each side of the neck that you can tie into a bow. It gives your blouses and dresses a soft, feminine look with this extra detail. Because the collar is supposed to look soft and drapey, it's one of the few collars that actually doesn't have any interfacing in it. If you want to put some interfacing in yours, I would choose a sheerweight interfacing. When sewing your own tie collar, there may be variations to your pattern directions that make it slightly different than my example but this demonstration should give you a good jumping off point.
